With its rapid heat-up and generously-sized cast iron grilling surface, the Apuro half ribbed double contact grill is a powerful and reliable addition to professional kitchens. Perfectly designed to produce great tasting food, the grill features independent accurate temperature controls and digital timers for each side, so you'll always get consistent results, whether you're making traditional breakfasts or tempting takeaway snacks.
The grill features flat plates on the left side and ribbed plates on the right. The strong, flat cast iron griddle plates maximise contact between the heat and the food. This not only ensures a consistent cook - it also speeds up cooking to help keep queues down. On the ribbed side, grease and fat is channelled away from the food, helping to promote healthier dishes whilst also providing attractive branding lines. As all the plates are cast iron they retain more heat for longer, meaning that recovery times are reduced - so that's less time waiting for cooking temperatures to be reached.
The grill also includes a built-in removable drip tray, helping to keep the grill surface clean and contaminant-free - essential for maintaining the quality of cooked food. The drip tray also makes the grill considerably easier to clean - simply remove, empty and place in the dishwasher. To help clean the cooking plates, the grill is also supplied with a strong commercial grill scraper as standard.
