Firex build multifunctional cookers in Italy and have supplied centralised kitchens, schools, canteens and event caterers for decades; the brand joined the Middleby group in 2018. The Cucimix and Baskett cookers put direct heating, temperature and contact probes and a built-in mixer in the one machine, so sauces, custards, soups, pasta and fillings cook and stir themselves and call the operator only when there is something to do. Capacities run from around one hundred litres upwards, in electric, gas and steam. Supplied in Australia by Middleby Australia with a 12 month parts and labour warranty.
